LAUDE FONTENEBRO SCHOOL OBTAINS ITS QUALIFICATION AS ECO SCHOOL AND THE GREEN FLAG OF ADEAC

Last month Laude Fontenebro School received the Green Flag in recognition of its commitment to the Ecoescuelas Program of the Environmental and Consumer Education Association (ADEAC)

After three years of work that have culminated with the fulfilment of all the requirements imposed by the Association, Laude Fontenebro School has been awarded, through the act of handing over this flag, as the first school of the northwest area of Madrid with the qualification of Ecoescuela, after the environmental policy that is implemented in the school is recognised by ADEAC.

The event was attended by the president of ADEAC, José Ramón Sánchez Moro, the Mayor of Moralzarzal, Juan Carlos Rodríguez and the Councilors of Education and Environment of Moralzarzal, Gema Duque and Susana Villareal, as well as all the students of the School.

Alicia Alonso de Leciñana, Head Teacher of Laude Fontenebro School, highlighted during her speech that “in these three years the School has reviewed those aspects in which it could improve its environmental impact, reducing the amount of waste produced and proposing alternatives so that recycling and reuse will be part of their culture Other actions have been aimed at reducing water and energy consumption and environmental awareness of our students and families, as well as the development of healthy habits and commitment to society. This qualification has been achieved thanks to an arduous learning process among students and a broad task of awareness to the entire Educational Community.
