HEADTEACHER LETTER – YEARBOOK 23-24
Dear Students, Parents, and Faculty,
As we come together to reflect on the incredible year we’ve had at Fontenebro, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude. The journey we’ve embarked upon as a school community has been truly remarkable. This year has showcased the unwavering spirit of resilience, honesty, empathy, creativity, teamwork, and responsibility that defines our school’s values.
Our commitment to these values has been at the heart of our success. We have faced challenges head-on, demonstrating our resilience by turning obstacles into opportunities for growth. We’ve nurtured a culture of honesty, knowing that it is the bedrock of trust and integrity, ensuring that we learn from both our successes and our setbacks.
Empathy, a cornerstone of our school community, has allowed us to better understand and support one another. Through our creative endeavours, we have explored the boundless realms of imagination, using our creativity to enrich our learning and contribute to the world. Teamwork has enabled us to achieve together what we couldn’t accomplish alone, and we’ve held ourselves accountable for our actions, displaying a strong sense of responsibility.
In the pursuit of academic excellence, we’ve seen remarkable achievements this year. Our increasing proficiency in the English language has opened doors to broader horizons, expanding our capacity for learning, communication, and understanding the world. This growth is a testament to the dedication of our students and the exceptional efforts of our faculty. At Fontenebro we firmly believe that a good struggle is the key to getting better. It is through perseverance and the willingness to step out of our comfort zones that we make amazing learning possible. Each day, our students demonstrate the strength of their character, the depth of their curiosity, and the power of their determination. These qualities are what make our school genuinely extraordinary.
Our commitment to delivering an outstanding learning environment goes beyond the classroom, encompassing outdoor improvements, the ongoing nature of our international curriculum, and the Eco School project are other aspects in which we have achieved significant progress this year.
I want to highlight the exciting developments and ongoing initiatives that will continue to shape the educational experience at Fontenebro.
Outdoor Enhancement: Our dedication to fostering holistic growth in our students goes hand in hand with our outdoor enhancement initiatives. We recognize the importance of nature in the learning process and are committed to providing students with ample opportunities to connect with the outdoors. We will be investing in further improvements to our outdoor spaces, creating environments that stimulate curiosity, exploration, and physical well-being. These enhancements will not only facilitate academic learning but also promote environmental consciousness and appreciation.
Continuity of International Curriculum: We take immense pride in our international curriculum, which has been a cornerstone of our educational approach. It allows our students to explore global perspectives, broaden their horizons, and develop a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. As we move forward, the continuity and refinement of this curriculum will remain a top priority. We are dedicated to ensuring our students receive the highest quality education, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to thrive in an interconnected world.
Eco Escuela Project: Our commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness through the Eco Escuela project remains steadfast. This initiative has not only enriched our school community but has also instilled a sense of responsibility and stewardship for our planet. We will continue integrating ecological principles into our curriculum and campus life, inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders.
