Biology Lab Practice

Our 1º ESO students had an opportunity to explore the microcosmos in a drop of pond water.

With this lab practice, students had the opportunity to learn how an optical microscope works and learn about microscopic life and the biological classification of living organisms.

The stagnant waters of a nearby pond are perfect to explore unicellular organisms like paramecium, euglena, microscopic algae, or nematodes, and what better way than actually seeing it with your own eyes in a microscope!
