4TH SECONDARY DEBATE: DO SOCIAL NETWORKS INFLUENCE US IN A POSITIVE WAY?

On March 11th, our students discussed a very controversial topic in the library: SOCIAL NETWORKS.

Since its inception, they have become more than a simple means of communication, evolving in such a way that there are many applications in people’s lives.

For this reason, our 4th year Secondary students debated in the school library about the following topic: Do social networks influence us in a positive way?

This activity promoted by Rut Hidalgo, professor of Language and Literature, involved two teams to debate for and against this question. The 4th A team, formed by Irene S., Ignacio R., Olivia P., Sergio P. positioned itself against social networks, while the 4th B team, formed by Leyre G., María S. Carlos G. and Alejandro G, positioned himself in favor of the issue.

After a difficult assessment, the jury made up of professors Rut H., Lucía S. and Gracia F. finally decided to opt in favor of the group that had defended the position.

The students achieved a high level debate and both groups received a small detail for all the effort made.

Congratulations to both teams for the magnificent work!

Here is the video of the debate.
