Educating to Lead: How Fontenebro International School Shapes Tomorrow’s Leaders
Fontenebro International School, located in Moralzarzal, has established itself as a benchmark in preparing future leaders through a strong commitment to developing key skills such as communication, critical thinking, and global awareness. This academic year, the school took another step forward in its pursuit of academic and personal excellence by organizing two impactful events: TEDxFontenebro, held in February, and the first Forbes Talks led by young speakers in a Spanish school, held in April.
These initiatives are made possible thanks to Fontenebro International School’s membership in ISP Schools, a prestigious international network of schools present in 25 countries, with 12 campuses in Spain and one in Portugal, offering students unique learning experiences with a global perspective.
TEDxFontenebro: Youth Ideas to Transform the Future
This TEDxYouth event, officially licensed by TED, was held under the inspiring theme Unlocking Tomorrow’s World. It brought together 13 students from various ISP Schools in Spain and Portugal, who stepped onto a professional stage to share bold and innovative ideas about the future.
Preparation for the event included intensive public speaking training, live rehearsals, and collaborative activities designed to strengthen the sense of community among students from different schools. It was an enriching environment that allowed them to grow, learn, and build the confidence needed to become future leaders.

Forbes Talks: Learning from Great Leaders
In April, Fontenebro International School made history by becoming the first school in Spain to host a Forbes Talks by ISP Schools event, in collaboration with the renowned Forbes magazine. This unique learning experience brought together students from several ISP Schools in Spain.
The session was led by Isabel Aguilera, one of Spain’s most influential executives and former CEO of Google Iberia and General Electric Spain & Portugal. Her powerful and engaging talk gave students valuable insights into leadership in a constantly evolving world and highlighted the importance of values such as curiosity, innovation, and resilience.

Model United Nations (MUN): Diplomacy and Critical Thinking in Action
Fontenebro International School also offers its students the opportunity to participate in the Model United Nations (MUN) program, which fosters critical thinking, debate, and negotiation skills in an international context. This year, nine students from the school traveled to Malaysia to take part in a multicultural MUN experience, further expanding their global vision and their ability to communicate confidently in international forums.
